Renaissance of the Carlton Cannes: The icon of the Riviera shines again

The famous Carlton Cannes, located at 58 Boulevard de la Croisette, reopened its doors on March 13, 2023 after a careful renovation. This reopening marks the rebirth of a jewel of the Riviera, where the most prestigious craftsmen have been brought together to restore and modernize the iconic establishment.

To celebrate this reopening, the Carlton Cannes highlights the expertise and dedication of the Métiers d'Art. Hundreds of men and women participated in this legendary transformation, bringing the icon back to life. Although the exterior facades have been embellished and enlarged, the originalarchitecture has been preserved, respecting the heritage and majesty of the place.

Inside, an unprecedented change has taken place. The best craftsmen were selected to work on this extraordinary project, rediscovering and restoring historical elements such as the round marbled stucco columns, the onyx columns and the gold leaf ornaments. Noble materials such as Carrara marble and Raku ceramics were used, demonstrating the attention to detail.

The Carlton Cannes honors his memory by restoring some pieces and creating new ones to infuse modernity. The future blends with the past, integrating perfectly into this place full of history. This project was orchestrated by architect Richard Lavelle and interior designer Tristan Auer, in collaboration with VINCI Construction.

The Carlton Cannes, owned by Katara Hospitality, joins the prestigious IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) brand, Regent. This iconic hotel will meet the desires of its guests by offering a memorable experience, thanks to the diversity of experiences offered, the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea and the serene tranquility of the interior garden.

The Carlton Cannes also offers a 900-square-meter Fitness & Spa complex, The C Club, which includes a boxing ring, state-of-the-art gym, yoga and Pilates studio. The new Iconic Signature Suites pay tribute to the hotel's film and sports heritage, with names like the Grace Kelly Suite, Cary Grant Suite, Kirk Douglas Suite, Alfred Hitchcock Suite and Suzanne Lenglen Suite.

The hotel's culinary offerings have been completely redesigned, with three restaurants, three bars and a tea room. The Riviera restaurant overlooks the Croisette and features a new chef's table overlooking Chef Laurent Bunel's open kitchen. The Anatolian restaurant Rüya will open in May 2023, just before the Cannes Film Festival. The Carlton Beach Club, renovated by Tristan Auer, offers a chic and casual setting to enjoy the famous Homer Lobster rolls or a cocktail inspired by the different rivieras of the world.

The Bar°58, inspired by the hotel's emblematic address, offers creative seasonal cocktails based on a "from farm to bar" philosophy. Finally, the Camellia tea room invites guests to discover teas from around the world in an immersive sensory experience inspired by the historic Silk Road.
